Based in New Orleans, and working on projects nationwide, Boo Randle is the founder and principal designer of Boo Randle Interiors. Her portfolio includes both residential and commercial projects.

As a young child, Boo was drawn to art and design. Spending countless hours with a pencil or brush in hand, her inventiveness and creativity bloomed, cultivating an immense enthusiasm to make beautiful things. After receiving a bachelor's degree in International Finance, Boo’s formal design experience began at interior design school, with a foundation in color theory, drafting, space planning, and textiles. Then came a detour in life: a move to New York City and almost a decade working in the fashion industry, including positions as Vice President of Sales and Chief Operations Officer.

Upon moving to New Orleans, Boo returned to her calling, proving herself as a designer at a prestigious New Orleans design firm and independently building her own portfolio of work. Her style can be described as curated ode to new and old, with an emphasis on her clients’ personalities and sentimental personal effects.

One of the qualities that sets Boo apart is her ability to organize and execute the many design decisions that go into completing a project, while making the process feel light and easy for clients. She focuses on what’s important to the client - their taste, style, vision, and budget - and lets those guide the direction of each project.

How would you describe your style?

I would describe it as layered, curated and multidimensional; pulling in the personality and vibe of each client and using old and new elements to create real warmth. I love rooms that are clean, bright, and livable, and I always like to mix antiques and heirlooms with new pieces to bring a little history to my projects. Regardless of my personal style, I make sure I ask good questions and listen closely for what’s important to my clients.

Are there any particular elements commonly found in your work?

Natural elements, pops of color, and unexpected components are essential to my spaces to give each a unique and collected feel. I want every space I touch to be comfortable. We’re happier when we’re comfortable.

What wouldn’t someone find in your portfolio?

I don’t gravitate toward trends or thematic styles. I like spaces to feel original, where you can see the client’s personality coming through.

What makes you good at what you do?

Apart from the design aspect, my ability to work with varying budgets and timelines gives me an edge. While I consider myself a creative person, my years of working in company operations helps me apply order and organization to the work I do.

What does your work mean to you?

My work is pure joy. I wake up everyday happy to get to do what I do and grateful to do something I love.

What do you love about living in New Orleans?

First, the people. I find most people who live in New Orleans to be quite unique and interesting souls. Most everyone has a story to tell, along with great appreciation and enthusiasm for life. It is certainly the most welcoming place I've ever lived. I truly feel at home here and am constantly inspired by everything around me: the art, music, food... There is really no place like it in the world. I mean, where else will you regularly encounter a brass band strolling down a random street on a random weekday blasting out notes of joy for anyone and everyone to enjoy? And on top of all that, it is one of - if not the - most beautiful cities in the US; a perfect home base for anyone working in a creative field.

I’m the one having fun.

"I had a wonderful experience working with Boo. At first I was a little concerned because I was out of town and not often in the physical space, but we communicated easily by phone, text and e-mail.

Each time I would tell Boo an idea of what I was thinking for the decor, she would follow up with a minimum of 3 choices of what I had described, often in different price ranges. It was uncanny how once I described my vision she was able to bring it to life. Of course when I wasn't sure of an idea, I was able to use Boo's expertise.

I love her aesthetic and we were always on the same page. Boo was also able to take delivery of all the pieces and install them while I was out of town. Our apartment came out exactly as I hoped. I would love to have the chance to work with Boo in the future and would recommend her to everyone I know, without a doubt. She's a very talented woman."
