UPTOWN CHARMER

Boo’s personal home and studio.

This one is very close to my heart, a new chapter: my home and BRI studio. It is filled with so many favorite belongings, colors and textures. Downstairs in my studio, I went dark with pops of my favorite greens, blues and corals.

Upstairs I leaned into the bright light flowing through the tall windows. I kept the color palette consistent but turned up the saturation just a bit: light walls with creamy yellow trim, two tone green cabinets and my salmon pink sofa. Lots of previously collected pieces were incorporated to maximize storage.

Performance fabrics were used to accommodate my life with my children and our cat, Moufette (seen below). Using a mix of antiques, vintage and new items, a landscape of visual interest abounds.

A rare photo of me, standing in my bedroom, captured by one of my favorite photographers (who - fun fact - was actually the first New Orleans interiors photographer I worked with a decade ago). My bedroom stays serene and oh-so-cozy in my signature blue green gray.
