DESIGN ASSISTANT
We are looking for a qualified, hardworking, team player to join the team as a Design Assistant. While this is an entry level position, we are hoping to find someone who will grow with the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY DUTIES
Studio Organization
Assist Studio Coordinator with keeping the design library, studio, and client projects organized and up to date. Duties may include:
Organizing and tidying up the studio
Organizing studio samples and inventory
Organizing client bins, closing out projects, refiling or reordering samples, etc
Organizing studio supplies, as needed
Tracking studio supplies, as needed
Ordering samples and books from vendors
Organizing and updating vendor list, as needed
Compiling and preparing orders for inventory, if needed
Client Projects
Provide overall support with client projects with floor plans, selections, drawings, and design tasks. Duties may include:
Assisting on photo shoots, as needed
Preparing for installation day, as needed
Assisting on install day, as needed
Assisting with preparation for photo shoots and installs
Assisting the interior designer in day to day management of projects, as needed
Drafting floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, and details
Researching and sourcing furnishings, lighting, accessories, fixtures, finishes, material options, and reselections, as requested
Placing orders for approved client items
Tracking orders for client purchases
Updating clients on status of purchases
Assisting with miscellaneous client related tasks, as needed
Client Presentations
Prepare for client presentations, both in studio and virtual. Duties may include:
Assembling presentation boards and materials
Creating digital design boards for presentations
Creating and printing presentation documents as needed
Ordering memos for client presentation
Preparing studio for presentation day
Mailing presentation materials for long distance clients
QUALIFICATIONS
Entry level position with 1-2 years experience in Interior Design or related field
Passion for design
Must be a team player who wants to grow with the company
Proficiency in communicating with clients, contractors and vendors
Must be professional, reliable, and punctual, be able to work late as needed, have personal stability
Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities
Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
Valid Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Work on-site at studio and in clients’ homes following COVID-19 protocols
Proactive with excellent follow through
Comfortable using software and willingness to learn (Squarespace, Google drive, Asana, Ivy, SketchUp, AutoCAD)

Travel: Some travel may be required to local projects
Hours: 2-5 hours/week
Classification: 1099, part time
