Residential Interior Design
Every project has its own unique parameters, and because of that, I offer my residential interior design clients two ways of working together. My full service design is great for local or out of state clients who need complete assistance with their project from inspiration to final installation. My capsule design service is a wonderful way for local clients to have professional design assistance to finish off the miscellaneous projects that don’t require a full service design plan.
THE FULL SERVICE EXPERIENCE
From initial concept to final installation, I’ll guide you through the entire process to create a functional and beautiful space that makes sense for your lifestyle. Because every full service project has its own unique parameters, I customize each full service proposal to include what I think is necessary to achieve your design goals. My simple seven step process allows me to manage all the details so you can enjoy your design experience.
CONSULTATION
During your consultation, we’ll discuss your lifestyle and design style in more detail and get a sense of your project and what is needed to make it all come to life.
CONTRACT + DEPOSIT
After the consultation, you’ll receive a customized proposal outlining the scope, the estimated design fees, and the timeline for your project. My full service projects are billed hourly.
MEASURING + INVENTORY
During this in-home meeting, I’ll measure your space and catalog your existing items. A huge part of my process, when feasible, is incorporating your antiques, heirlooms, and the pieces you love into the design to maximize your design budget in a thoughtful and intentional way.
FURNITURE PLANS + MOOD BOARDS
Once the measurements are taken, I’ll create furniture plans to determine the most functional lay out for your space and mood boards to set the direction for the design aesthetic.
DESIGN PHASE
In the design phase, I refine the layout and select the exact pieces for your home. Once the design details are nailed down, you’ll enjoy a presentation of your space complete with samples, swatches, and additional images to further clarify the design.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT PHASE
When the design is approved, we’ll move into the project management phase where I’ll place orders, oversee trades, and manage all the details to ensure nothing is missed.
INSTALLATION
Once all the work is complete and soft furnishings have arrived, we’ll schedule your installation day. I’ll coordinate all your deliveries as well as bring additional styling pieces to complete your space.

THE CAPSULE DESIGN EXPERIENCE
The capsule design experience was created for clients who need help but in a finite way. This limited service option is tailored to meet your design needs in a short amount of time and tackle a very specific task or two, whether that’s guidance selecting paint colors, determining a furniture plan, or putting the finishing touches on one room. My simple six step process allows you to enjoy your experience and feel confident implementing a design plan you will love.
CONSULTATION + CONTRACT
During your phone consultation, we’ll discuss your lifestyle, design style, and needs in more detail to make sure this service is a good fit for your project. Once the contract is signed and payment is made, we’ll schedule your in home design session. Capsule Design is billed at a flat rate of $1000.
DESIGN STYLE
Before your session, I’ll do a thorough review of your design questionnaire and inspiration images so I have a full understanding of your design style and lifestyle needs. Armed with this information, I’ll create a mood board to set the general direction for your design.
DESIGN SESSION
During the in-home portion of your design session, we’ll review the mood board, walk through your space, and talk through your challenges.
DESIGN REFINE
After the session, I’ll refine the layout and select the exact elements for your project. This might include fixtures, finishes, furniture, paint colors, and/or accessories.
YOUR CAPSULE DESIGN
Within a week, your capsule design will be ready for you. With a digital presentation of the items selected for your project as well as physical samples and swatches, you’ll feel confident and ready to move forward with your design plan.
DESIGN SUPPORT
Because my design style phase is so detailed, I am able to make selections that suit your budget and taste without having to go back to the drawing board. In the event you need further clarification on the design plan or any items suggested, I include a thirty minute wrap up call so you feel confident bringing your design plan to life.
